When I am not behind the lens, you can find me on a road trip to the Smoky Mountains, which has become my favorite day-trip destination.
At home, I'm never too far from my spoiled mutt, who keeps me company through those editing marathons. She's a fun mix of 17 different breeds-top three being Aussie, German Shepherd, and Golden Retriever.

Hi, I'm Kat
Photography has always been a part of my life, but it was at 14 years old that I started stepping in front of the camera myself, and at only 17 I was able to take on clients.
My love of photography is in my blood. My mom was one of those mothers who always had a camera on hand to capture every smile, and my father is a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to cameras, but he's not usually behind them. It was that combination of influences that finally drove me to explore photography beyond a casual hobby.

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m spending time with my partner, who’s passionate about all things cars—especially JDM cars. He drives a modified 2014 Lexus IS, with too many mods to count, but just to name a few: exhaust, air ride, and mirror tint. It’s a show car, since there’s not much to do under the hood! He’s also working on his ’96 Civic hatchback, and together we enjoy going to car shows. Even though I don’t know half of the car talk, I try!
We also love going to the Smoky Mountains and visiting Jungle Jim’s for a fun day out. One of our special plans for the future is to spend all the points we’ve earned at Gattitown on our wedding week—it’s our little tradition to play in the arcade if we go there to eat!

Maggie, a mix of 17 different breeds, is the real star of the show! Her favorite things in the world are Starbucks Pup Cups, car rides, baths, and tennis balls. She’s clever too—Maggie knows that if she’s good during bath time, she’ll get rewarded with a brand-new toy and a Pup Cup. She’s always by my side, whether we’re headed out on an adventure or she’s keeping me company during editing sessions.

Super fun to work with and extremely talented. She’s genuinely amazing! Highly recommended! She keeps things light and funny so you have a good time while getting the perfect pictures.
I have done a couple shoots with Kat by now and I don’t think I’ll ever go to someone else. She is so detailed and does everything she can to get the perfect shots and considering I have a crazy toddler she does so well getting him to cooperate!
