Consider asking guests to refrain from using their phones or cameras during the ceremony. This will help your professional photos not be obstructed.

It’s a special, intimate time for photos and can help reduce pre-ceremony nerves. If you don’t want to do a first look, consider a first touch or reading private letters to each other. I will make sure you don’t see each other!

Hey there Lexington Kentucky lovebirds! Kat here, owner of Kat’s Photos LLC. Make a list of group shots you want, including family and friends. Having a list will keep the day flowing. I require a shot list to be turned into me at least 1 day in advance, 3 days if possible.

This is a great activity to do with your mother and mother-in-law. They will help you remember to get a shot with your Aunt Sally you haven’t seen since you were a child.

I help all clients with timelines and have a timeline meeting prior to the wedding. In this meeting we will discuss your photography requests, final details, and of course create the perfect timeline. I always recommend coming with an idea of what you want the timeline to look like and having your order of events written down. If you have a wedding planner/day of coordinator I love bringing them along!

This helps us plan shots and assess lighting conditions. I would not recommend having your engagement session at your venue unless your heart is set on it.
